When the time came to build a vanity (because it was holding up progress on my bathroom-remodeling project), I realized I had underestimated how time-consuming it would be. Rather than getting bogged down with construction or buying a prefab unit, I compromised: I built the face frame and completed the project with manufactured cabinets, doors and drawers. This approach turned out to be an excellent way to break into woodworking and save money.
