Handy scouts in training When he needed a simple DIY project for his son’s Cub Scout troop, HANDY Executive Editor Dan Cary turned to p. 29 of the December/January issue. He modified the “Handy Tote” to be more kid-friendly by replacing the screws with nails and enhancing its durability. For safety and faster assembly, Dan precut the pieces; then he enlisted other parents to help the boys with sanding, gluing and hammering nails.
