Hey carvers,I posted a while back about what tool to use for alpaca fur. I ended up using a Dockyard micro v-tool. That sure took a while. Here's the results. He's about 6 inches tall and 7 inches long. I gave it to my friend who raises alpacas. He was absolutely floored by it. He didn't know I was doing this.I also just finished the mountain man. How does he look?

Sorry, but I just don't have words to do your work justice at the moment, You talented wood carvers are really starting to mess with my ego!

Great job carving both pieces. I really like the way you carved the hair on the alpaca.

I didn't mean my last as if I am quitting. I'm enjoying the carving and all the cool carvers I've met. I should have said my latest carvings. Thanks to all of you for your kind comments.
