My man cave refrigerator doesn't keep my liquid refreshments as cold as I want. I don't think there is anything as good as a Beer or Soda Pop  right out of the "ICE". I like it near freezing and I'm not getting near that with my Fridge.
1). Does it make a difference to keep the Re-Fridge nearly full or less than half?
2). Should the drinks be stored at the bottom or near/on the top shelf?
3). Does cans cool better than glass containers?
4). Does the temp. control for the freezer (2 door Fridge) make a difference in the Fridge compartment?
5). Am I the only one who likes "ICE" cold beer and this is a silly post????

Wishing all a good day and a better one tomorrow from central Mich. in the small town of Owosso

    Oldman

1). Does it make a difference to keep the Re-Fridge nearly full or less than half?

Yes.... What I do is put bottles of water to take up space in the freeze and the fridge they stay cold when the unit is not on.

2). Should the drinks be stored at the bottom or near/on the top shelf?

What I would do is put them in the freezer for half an hour or so to get the heat out then put them any where in the fridge where the cold air comes in. Before it would pick up heat from other items in the compartment.

3). Does cans cool better than glass containers?

Probability the same cans may stay cooler longer by a few seconds. Can and bottle wraps can add a lot of life to the cool..

4). Does the temp. control for the freezer (2 door Fridge) make a difference in the Fridge compartment?

If the freezer control is a damper type yes.

The colder the setting for the freezer the warmer the fridge.

    2 door Fridge?

    S x S ?

If the knob has OFF printed on it that could be a T stat.

All the Cold is made in the Freezer moved by a fan to the fridge to pull heat out of items.....

Refrigeration is the absents of heat.

5). Am I the only one who likes "ICE" cold beer and this is a silly post???

Hell No!!!! I do!!!! And haven't had one in over 15 years....... I always like them TO COLD TO HOLD

    I agree 100% with Scooter.
( especially the part about "too cold to hold"! )
There's one thing neither of you covered...
    Plastic Bottles...

IMHO: The plastic may have a slight bit more of insulatave properties due to it's density or lack there of.
Denser materials for the containers, glass or metal, will have less insulation and should conduct the heat out of the "precious" liquid stored within, be it suds or soda.

Sounds like a science project to prove this is necessary.
Anyone got two thermometers, a glass bottle and a plastic bottle, some room temperature water and a little time to test it for us?

I've found that storing toward the back of the fridge helps. The opening of the door allows the warm air to enter and warms items stored in front.
Any job not worth taking the time to do right the first time, isn't worth the time to do it at all.

As for the origional question 5; I like scooter's response. I like mine so cold it has flakes of ice in it. In fact so cold that, especially on a real hot day, the first swollow makes the muscles in my neck cramp.
