First, welcome to the forum! When you get a chance, please drop down to the new members area and introduce yourself.

Please...be a bit more specific with requests for information or assistance/advice. The more information we have, the better we can help you out.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you want to build a deck (new) using pressure treated lumber. Also, you're looking for opinions/advice on how or when to seal it?

So - is this deck going to hug the ground? Is it going to elevated? Height of the deck will help.

    Any railings/bannisters/steps?

Over-all dimensions of the deck? Length X width.

Where do you live? Do you need a permit? Is it going to attached to the house?

To answer your question, its usually recommended that you wait a minimum of 6 months before sealing your deck.  This allows the pressure treated lumber to dry out.  If you don't wait, the sealing won't take.  Since its the end of July, you might as well wait until next spring.  Then, you'll probably have to pressure wash it before you seal it but the deck will withstand the Western PA weather until then.

As for Craig's questions, you may answer them if you wish, but the answer will still be the same.
