With a bit of clear 4" flex, and some smaller flex hose, we're able to get this puppy finished up over the next few photos.

All tucked neatly out of the way, only thing left is to pick up a few clamps and screw the ductwork together in the morning.

(above) I added four 1" dia. rare earth magnets to the back of the rear legs, this will eventually hold a 1/2" back panel in place.

That's it for now, thanks for not snoring too loud

Re: Grounding
Make sure your tools/machines and ductwork are hooked to a good Earth ground.
Incoming power and phones, etc. should be hooked to a 4' copper plated steel rod driven into the soil near where they come into your breaker box from the power company lines.
My folks had their entire kitchen fried due to a lightning strike near them and traveled to nearest ground.
Power co. paid as they didn't use a good ground rod when installing service.
I get static zaps when getting out of my vehicle on dry cold days.
So I drag a small sacrificial wire to ground. NOT hooked where moving parts can get it. LOL

Good point Randy, I had that in place when I had the 200A service installed.

I think you are doing a great job with what you got. All I have is a 24"x24" fan in the wall, trun it on dust gone.

Thanks for the donation Gerry, soon as this heat wave dies down a bit I'll be throwing the switch on it and trying it out. I have several projects lined up, all small ones right now, but should be enough for an initial test drive.

Gerry,
I don't think the gerbils would like that 'squirrel cage' blower.... at least NOT WHILE IT'S RUNNING.  :hair:  ::gone:

Next phase of the DC system's ductwork will be starting tomorrow. This time, will be running from the common header pipe to the compound miter saw, scroll saw and second floor sweep. I'll start another thread when photos become available. Gerry, pick up more quarters when you are in NY! Let me know when you all get bored with this project.

I managed to get down to the shop long enough to rough in about 10 ft of 4" pipe and a few fittings, and the 2" feeder for the scroll saw. I also got the static line through one section of 4" X 9'. Tomorrow I'll take it all apart and get the rest of the static line in place and then tighten it all up a piece at a time since I'll be working alone on the ladder, and over my head. Since the rotator cuff incident, these overhead jobs go much slower than before. Should have some photos by Monday at the latest.
