I have two user names, I was having problems with logging in and I called the 1-800 # and they said they would give me a new log-in and password, I can still log in under my given name, or as Dewey, but I never use the other log-in, which may explain why my join date is off. Fortunately i never subscribe to anything inhere by email so that hasn't affected me.

Well, I guess I learned something new Dewey.  Who says old dogs can't learn new things? LOL

Now, we need to know if Kenny has two user names or not.

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.
I just got lost in thought. It wasn't familiar territory.

Well I just may have, when I use certain sites and it tells me I can't use my name kdow, first I think why it's my name, so then I use my initials, so yes it is possible I may have done this when I first was loggin in because I do remember it didn't take my member # at first, but I can't seem to back track it and I'm good with kdow so it's just a phone call away when I have the chance, but thanks guys if I didn't mention it I would be overrun with E-mails and really not sure what to do, calling HCOA, wouldn't have crossed my mind, I would have just thought I'm still an idiot with computers and would be forever searching for why it was occuring without a clue. So again you save me from the flames of :I MUSTA DONE SOMETHING WRONG AGAIN,A BIG THANKS!

you could call, but what I would do Kenny, is just unsubscribe to all posts while you are logged in under this kwjd user name.  That should take care of it.  I think there is a thread somewhere on how to unsubscribe.  I have to take my third walk with the dogs tonight or I would try to find it for you.

Thanks Dewey you truly are a mindreader cause that's my next question, I don't see anything that says unsubscribe, Yikes dog duty, my wife wants a yorkie, I tell her I'm your NEW YORK-ie  hehe but I see the novelty will wear off after a month and I'll be the guy walking the dog, that's why I opted for cats, no walking, I have a broken right foot so it's not something I would like doing on a regular basis, she has a trial going babysitting a little yorkie a neighbor owns,  if she can dillengently take care of him I told her I would seriously think about her having one, but already she asks me to walk the dog, so I was kinda right, the novelty will wear off and, yup you guessed it MY DOG.

Kenny, here's how to subscribe / unsubscribe quoted from our webmaster http://www.handymanclub.com/forums/...fnp/220759

"Click on 'My Profile' at the top of the Forum. Then click on 'Forum Tracking.' You'll see a bunch of envelopes on the right. If there is a little green checkmark that means you are subscribed to that thread. Just click the envelope to subscribe or unsubscribe. "

Also a link thanks to i'lltry found in the same thread as linked above.

Go to "My Account", then select "Private Profile" and check your user ID info, user name, password. There may be a upper / lower case error or something similar.

I experienced a glitch, couldn't sign in, HCOA said to remove cookies, I did still couldn't get in, name was right password was right,(glitch said it was the wrong name matching the member number, but not everytime, it would sign me in half way but not Welcome me and register me as signed in) but I entered the correct last name and member number, this morning I answered an e-mail and I was already signed in, WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? was it a glitch or does someone else have my member number? Did anyone experience problems, the club said they signed me in with no problem that's why they told me to dump my cookies, but that couldn't of been the problem it started about a week ago, Today is Sept 22, and like I said it automatically logged me in today, using the link on the E-mail, why didn't I have to sign in today, and why couldn't I sign in before, a hurt brain,BEARS TOYS, I think I'm having menstral cramps, and bloating too.Whatever it was I'm glad I'm signed in because I couldn't even open this forum topic up to report a glitch.Hope it's the end of it.

Bear, some places may be do not allow an apostrophe like in the possessive "Bear's Toys".
And then again if your log-in says "Bear's Toys" and your screen name says "BEARS TOYS" that may be the reason, one part of the forum software allows one thing and another does not.

Another unusual thing with the forum software, probably because they sucked in all the user names from the old software, is that there can be several people with the same "Screen Name" but different accounts and different log-in names.

So when you initially signed in, you must have used the apostrophe. It will stay that way for your log-in unless you contact the club via phone or email.

I logged on to enroll in the Product Test program.

After filling out the enrollment form, the submit button doesn't work.

When I right click the button, my browser shows there is no link connected to the button (instead of a URL, it has optons of 'show image' 'open image', 'save image as..' and so forth)

Did you right click or left click?  The options you refer to usually are a result of "right clicking".

When I am trying to do a search in the forums, I get a message stating my email address is incorrect and to try again. I am logged in (no problem) but it says my email address is incorrect? Doesn't make sense. I just want to run a search on the forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can enjoy the site more often. Thanks

Hi Stan,

I sent out an alert on your question or problem to admin.
From personal experiences, it may take you an extra step or two to get around this.

Let me explain....
Newsletters are sent by specialized email servers, much like those that spammers use.
Some internet service provides don't really know that they are filtering out XYZ's newsletters as they subscribe to a list of filters and to individually track down one newsletter for one customer is too much a pain for them so they generally just say it is not their problem.
I suggest you get one of those FREE email accounts on gmail.com
Once you have it then you can take steps to make sure the newsletter is passed through by looking in the spam list and marking that newsletter as not spam.
Finally, with most email programs one has the ability to check multiple email accounts, once you have the account set up, on gmail, you can have your regular email program access it as it accesses your regular email.

Gmail gives you more control over what is blocked.

What browser are you using?
Do you have any sort of ad or pop-up blockers turned on?
Is your Java up to date?  http://java.com/en/

What is your operating system?

These kind of things may help admin.

I just tested an update to my profile and it worked.
