I started this topic to aid the HCOA people to easier see any glitches we have encountered.

    PLEASE: NO DISCUSSION!

Just state your observed glitch, with post number or a link to the post.
Please try and state it as clearly as possible listing your operating system and browser type with version.
If you try a different browser and / or operating system, in order to test a reported glitch, please be as brief as possible in your report.
DO NOT USE THIS AREA FOR TESTING, THIS IS FOR REPORTING ONLY!
(start a test post topic for any tests you'd like to try and do them there)

This is serious guys, the sooner we point them out the sooner these guys will nail them down!

    OK, here's number one....

    I replied to a thread:
    http://www.handymanclub.com/forums/.../afv/topic
and added images to it only as they didn't carry over from the old forum.
They looked fine and the post was visible.

Checking back a few hours later, they are not there.

    OK, here's number two...

I attempted to read a thread before logging in, it immediately redirected me to a log-in page!
Old forum allowed reading threads without logging in, good PR. New forum apparently not.

Is this the way it's supposed to be?

    OK #3 (maybe)     NEVER MIND!!!!!!

One of the things I like to do is monitor the forums via my Blackberry while out and about.  For some reason now I cannot open posts.  I can get into a Forum and SEE the posts, but unabe to open them.  Not sure if this is something HCOA can remedy or if it my issue.

Any feedback (NO DISCUSSIONS ), but if HCOA or another member could email me with some recommendations that would be great

    UPDATE:

I figured it out -  I needed to log in based on the login issue above - so after logging in I have access to the Topics!

Here is a good reason to be able to delete posts - I wish I could get rid of this!

..............  and a good reason to not require logging in to view the forums!

    Thanks!

    Gerry;

I have the same issue and I have vista on my laptop and windows 7 on my desktop in the house.  Both run IE8 so its not your software.  Both are home premium.
If at first you don't succeed, throw more money at it!

    Glitch - adding pictures.
Not sure of the reason/cause, but I tried to attach three pictures under "Miscellaneous" regarding a clock I made.

I couldn't attach the picture showing the final product (no notification of size limitations).

However, if I attached them all as thumbnails - it worked.

I do believe the topic "mold between walls" is out of place should have been under Remodeling and Repair. Not under the major heading "The Workshop" at the top of the Forum Page

The Workshop forum group heading should have the Handy symbolAnnouncement instead of the folders as it is now.

Not sure if this is considered a glitch or just an inconvienence. The print in the "qoute" portion of a post is very small and hard to read. Can it be enlarged to  match all other text?
I use IE8 and Google Chrome.

There are many examples already, but try this one

Active Topics doesn't always work for me (Vista / IE8) I just made a post that was promptly replied to after mine and nothing showed up in Active posts, while another member tried it and got 7 topics. What gives with that??

tried entering the contests to no avail. Tried several times. I enter the codes in and it comes back having a problem with your customer number and then the web page expires? Am I doing something wrong or is it a glitch?

Today, Saturday, 8 MAY 2010, am unable to enter either "Great Giveaway" or "Click & Win" contests.

I am LOGGED IN because I can access MY ACCOUNT with NO PROBLEMS in that area.

I am getting the following ERROR MESSAGE:

Warning Sorry, there seems to be an issue with your customer number (cntst-9002)

Error Sorry, there seems to be an issue submitting your entry, please try again later. (cntst-9003)

Gunner - got the same thing - but is was limited/restricted to the click and win.

I could give two squirts about these contests, but if you're going to offer it - please- make sure it works.

    CONTEST ENTRY....
There seems to be a problem with the database file comparing customer numbers with user names today, may, 8 2010.
It may continue through the weekend. (I can't get in either.)

Rather than have further redundancy about this report, please do not add additional reports about it.

It looks like we may have to wait it out.

    Image Uploading Glitch...

There seems to be a limit on the number of images a member can upload.
Presently I have 23 images uploaded and when I attempted to upload a 24th image, the upload button disappeared!

This can not work. It is impossible to restrict a member to a said number of images.

Please clarify image uploading restrictions, individual file size, total file size and number of images per member....

This is not intended to be negative, but only reporting problems I experienced today.

First, could not login using member number.  The same weekend problem with the previous system.

Second, my password had been changed during the migration.  But, I did get a response instead of waiting for several days as before.

Thirdly, can not access My Account to change the password to something memorable.

Positive:  I was able to apply for the contest with some problems reading the code to input.  This could easily be improved by adding a table for contest entry.  The table would contain the member name and number and all the unique information from member profile.  If the person was to make second attempt in the day, a message would appear that you have entered today, please try tomorrow.  At the end of the day, delete all records in that table.  One required field would be the system clock date.  Each time someone attempted entry, that time stamp in the table would be compared to the information on the contest entry.  Too simple and I'll be happy to step anyone from the IT department into it.  My personal email is     1sandcrab@bellsouth.net  and you are welcome to contact me.  Thanks for allowing me to post what I perceive as glitches, snafus, bugs, problems.

Returning to previous page (IE8 back arrow) has a propensity to present a blank page.

This ocurred several times yesterday - and just recently today, which prompted  this report.
