Consider getting your batteries rebuilt. Batteries Plus and Tri State Batteries can rebuild most cordless tool batteries at about 60% cost of new. Batteries Plus has done several NiCad's for my Dewalt drill and they work like new.

If any of the sources mentioned earlier do not have the oxalic acid, give local pharmacies a try. In my neck of the woods, I've had luck there when all the others have disappointed.
