i am new to handy man tool. the first book i got was tools and techniques for ten dollors. yesterday i got the second book landscape structures and decks. the first was ten and why is the second book 24.99 plus 4.99 for shipping, 29.98 total. i don't mind paying for the shipping but the price jump for the book is way to much. why is this. i am sending the book back and not buying any more if they all will be like this.

That's because it is their introductory offer. $24.99 is the regular price and books will keep arriving until you tell them you don't want anymore.
The greatest reward for doing is the opportunity to do more.

I agree you can find them a lot cheaper. Personally, I have my own library of books that I selected as I progressed in my DIY and woodworking projects. They don't all look alike, but they all provide a world of information. Your local library is also a great place to find what you need, and the price is less that the price of one Handy book.
Any job not worth taking the time to do right the first time, isn't worth the time to do it at all.
