Speedwrench,

To add to what Dewey said  ---  When in the "Not Read" list, look for the little icon with an arrow pointing down just at the end of the title of the post.  If you click on that you will go to the posts that you haven't yet read at the end of the list.  What I do is right-click on that and choose "Open in a New Window" from the drop down menu.  It is much faster that way because your "Not Read" list remains available.  When you are through with the thread you went to, just waste the window and pick a different thread to see.  It gets rid of most of that painful waiting around.

EDIT  ---  Not all threads will have that little down-arrow icon.  Those that you have not yet read and those no one has responded to won't have it.  But for those you'll want to go to the first post anyway.

Glenn,
If you are using IE-8 anyway, why go through the extra interface of AOL? Just go straight to the site through IE-8. (Maybe there is something I don't understand.)

Didn't realize until today that I cannot get into the Forums except from the Contest Page, which is where I usually come in from.

From the Index or Home Page, I see not way to get into the Forums!

On the Contest Page, you simply go to the CONNECT Tab and scroll down to Forums.
On the Index page, there are only two options under Connect, My Page and Members and even part of Members is chopped off.

What's it chopped off by?
Advertising they put OVER the drop down boxes!

Stupid is as Stupid Does!!!!!

Gary.. You must still be getting the old Handyman page.
You'll have to retype it in to get the New HANDY ( as it is called now) site.

I had the same problem until I retyped for the new improved  Handy site..
Larry... Give someone a SMILE today. They just might really need it.
