I hope I am posting this in the correct section. I am in the process of restoring an 82 model camper trailer. It was parked under a pine tree for must have been close to a millenium, so the roof (which is steel) is perforated with hundreds of tiny holes, along with a couple of holes probaly 1-2 inches in diameter where limbs have fallen onto it. I have been studying several options, and I am strongly consideriding covering it with the EPDM rubber liquid. From what I see on several websites, it is very doable and relatively inexpensive, and it carries a 5 or 10 yr. warranty. Have any of my fellow members had any experience with this, and if so, can you give me your opinions and any pointers?

How are you going to cover the 1 or 2 " holes in the roof? The pinholes might be ok to just roll the solution on , but the larger holes will require a patch.
Not to add that how much structure is left in a 30 year old neglected trailer?

I will cover the holes with new steel fastened with pull rivets and butyl caulk. As for the structure, I have completly replaced the floor joists and floors, as well as all the wall studs that were damaged. Basically, the entire interior has been gutted and will be rebuilt. The ceiling joists are solid. |

Did you post this before without mentioning the 1-2 inch holes? Anyway, sounds like you got it.. Just make sure to prep the roof good, maybe you have seen the video on youtube. |

I did see the videos, and they took all the "mystery" out of it. I think I can do it. |
