I was using some floor leveler yesterday. I did read the directions for the water to mix ratio. Mixed the Leveler to a nice texture. All of a sudden I had a strong urge to urinate. So I go potty and as I'm washing my hands I hear the dog's going crazy out in the back yard. Go check on the dogs and all is ok. The lawn chair in the shade with a slight breeze is blowing so I sit down for a quick break. Now that word "QUICK" comes into play. I go back to the room I was mixing the Leveler in and grab the drill that is still in the bucket of mixed Leveler and squeeze the trigger. VAROOOOM the bucket starts flying around smacking me in the legs a few times. The mixing paddle at the end of my drill had set up solid in the bucket of Leveler. Well if I would have read the instructions I would have seen it was "QUICK SETTING" material. The Leveler had set up in the bucket solid. So it cost me a bag of Leveler at $40.00 a mixing paddle at $14.00 a trip to the pharmacy for first aid supplys and now I have to go buy another bag of Leveler and a new mixing paddle.
So much for walking away from a job that wasn't done and not going to wait on me. Although I do have a good 5gal. bucket that will make a good weight for my fishing boat.

You can bet your last penny that I'll be reading all instructions on everything I work with in the future.

Wishing all a good day and a better one tomorrow from central Mich. in the small town of Owosso

Attach an eybolt to the paddle for your anchor, Old. Or you maybe just pulling up a handle with plastic pieces on the end.
    Been "there".
Ending pain is a great job!

BJ: the I-Bolt suggestion is a good one. But now that the material has set up I'll have to use my Hammer Drill and a carbide Bit to stick the I-Bolt into. And then maybe a little Epoxy glue to keep it in place. Actually we used to make anchors that way with a coffee can I-Bolt and some Quikrete. Also to anchor down portable sun shades or awnings. It's still sitting in my garage as a reminder to a brain lapse moment.

Dewey, it's ok if you got a laugh out of my screw up..... I did the same. What else can you do but laugh at yourself. ROTFLMAO HEHEHEEEEE
