Hello from LaGrange, Georgia. New member here, just joined. I'm a water plant operator, at least for the last 10 years now.
Started out working on an orchard in southern Illinois where we built everything under the sun. So that's where I got my knack for DIY. Between that and being too broke raising kids and stuff, I just always did whatever needed to be done.
Now I have a workshop I recently built. Handy for all those honeydew jobs as well as my own creations. I've been studying how to build guitars and basses, since I've played since I was a pup. Built a few that have turned out very well. Not bad for a white boy. Hope to do something along those lines for retirement if I can ever get that lucky.
Also like to make my own tools and mod them as needed.
I tried loading some pix of my latest bass but I guess this forum is not photobucket friendly.

First of all, WELCOME! Glad you are here. Stick around and enjoy. Re: PhotoBucket --- Using PhotoBucket as a way to get pictures up here was always the way I used to do it. Now they have made it so a photo can be uploaded straight from my computer to the site. So I don't have to use PhotoBucket that way any more. But it should work with a straight cut-n-paste from PhotoBucket. (Things may have changed so I will try it as a test.) Well, it came into the editing screen. Let's see if if posts. |

Welcome to the forums joutman, I hope you will stick around and ask for help when needed and offer to pay it foreward when you can. For tips on adding photos, go to "How To Use These Forums" on the main forum page, near the top of the title list you will find a sticky on how to add them from your hard drive, or as suggested above, C&P them from another site. Be sure to read the follow up posts as there are some facts there I did not cover in the OP. |

Do you know a Doug Mote in LaGrange? We used to race bicycles together when I lived in Montgomery, AL. I have a friend in Texas who is into building and restoring classical guitars - I'll have to get you two connected. |
