This evening started off to be pretty frustrating, I took the furkids out to potty about 7pm., when I spy several large chunks of asphalty all over my lawns and into the dogs' yard.  I knew right away it was the kids from the crackhouse as I've caught them throwing rocks and such in this direction several times.  No more had I picked them up when one of them appears from around the corner of the apt complex and he and his little friend decided to come over and tear up our hedges.  I ran them out of that, brought the dogs in and next thing you know, they are on their way back with something in hand to throw at the house.  when they saw me in the window, they retreated back to the crackhouse.  So, why all the smiles you ask?

Knowing they were unsupervised and likely to try something to damage our property I kept an eye out the window where they couldn't see me.  A few minutes later the little ******** comes out of the crackhouse, lights a piece of paper on fire and the two of them run around the corner of the crackhouse and then disappear.  A few minutes later the next oldest boy joins them.  Time warp ahead 15 minutes, our corner is blocked off with police cars and firetrucks, their attached "shed" is up in smoke.  I immediately went to the phone and called local dispatch and told them everything I saw.  No way can they say it was an accident now, and I hope the slum lord will finally make them move out.  It started off testing my nerves but right now I, my neighbour across the street and several others are smiling ear to ear.  Hmmmm, I wonder what goodies they may find in the shed now that the fire is out.

Or they act like they do because of their parents   I swear that little one that started the fire is pure evil and he's only about 5 or 6 I'd say.  You can see it in his eyes and facial expressions.  His 17 year old brother has been in all kinds of trouble, has a rap sheet for theft as long as my leg, like his Daddy, when this one gets that old, I dread to see what he will be up to.

Best description I've heard of them yet, mind if I borrow that?

I don't see any signs of packing, the little pyromaniacs are still playing together unsupervised and haven't seen CPS or the like at the crackhouse.  Not sure now what it will take for this slumlord to "do the right thing" and evict them this time.  Even bigger question amongst most of us on the block is "Why did he ever let them back in after he evicted them the last time?" .

That he does Barry, we know of twice he has collected ins for a retaining wall that has yet to be fixed at the cackhouse.   It leans way out into the street, and whenever there is an accident there and a car hits it, he collects but never repairs it.

An call to his insurance company would soon change his mind. That is fraud. Insurance companies are usually quick to prosecute fraud and might refuse him insurance. No insurance might mean that he would have to be very careful who he rented to.

I haven't personally, but I know Law Enforcement has in the past as well as a couple other neighbours.  Daddy is in jail and has been for some time for a long list of burglaries, (father and oldest son involved, son got a few days in juvey).

A neighbour lady came over last night when I was outside with the fur kids to tell me the little ones were out pelting the front of her house with plums from our tree.  Not sure if they picked them off the ground on the other side of the fence or shook them off the tree.  All we can figure is someone is greasing someone in authority's palms, because they get away with a lot, even with witnesses and video tape of their actions.

The way Dewey's "Nightmare on Elm Street" has been going, the foster home is probably on the other side of his house...

It just never stops around here. Two nights ago, well, about 1am actually I took the two smallest schnauzers out to potty and a young guy from the apt complex came over as soon as we got outin the fenced yard and asked if I had seen anyone running away from the apts. I told him I had just came out. He went on to tell me that someone had just kicked his door in moments before and turned loose with a can of pepper spray. It affected a couple of the surrounding apts as well when they opened their doors to see what was going on. I suspect it was the oldest teen from the crackhouse since he has often been seen over there in the wee hours of the morning. Soon as I can pick up a box of 22 longs, I'm filling all 3 clips and I plan on carry our handgun when I go out at night. They also shot out all the big lights at the complex in the past few nights.

Scooter, we have all sat down with the asst prosecutor, the mayor, and the police chief, as well as numerous calls to local dispatch, and the landlord. As far as the crackhouse goes, I'm not sure if they are sewction 8 or not at this point.
