Thanks guys. It is a gloss black enamel paint. I hate working with paint but it is what the customer wanted so it is what they got.
As far as the saw goes, yea it sucked when it went down. It took me awhile to find something worth while to replace it with. I found an older modle of a craftsman tablesaw that is not direct drive like my old one was for only 80.00 so it was a blessing in the long run. Nice heavy top with wings. You should have seen me trying to unload it and move it to my shop from my truck. It was not a fun thing to move because of how heavy the thing is. After a little adjustment and cleaning the tabletop up it cuts real nice.
In that case, congrats on the new toy, ooops, I mean tool. I bought a Dewalt cabinet saw from Lowe's several years ago and got it home and it started to spit rain, so had no choice but to unload it by myself. funny how one's creative juices kick in when you have to complete an impossible task by yourself.
I never would have guessed from the photos that was black paint. I built a new fireplace mantle awhile back and didn't want to stain it the same as the other woodwork in the room, so I used an ebony stain. It looks almost black, but allowed the grain to show through. Nice job none the less. Thanks for sharing.
