Thanks for the heads-up.

I need a course in nail guns, or need to do a bunch of research on them. If you know of a good website, please pass it on. I have read the reviews in the various magazines for years, but have not been very adventurous with air powered tools.

I have is an 18 gauge nailer/stapler - and it has been used for many projects, but nothing as severe as framing.

When I worked in Tool World, out two biggest sellers were DeWalt and Senco.  You may want to check at CPO tools on line.  They have some great deals on refurbs

I have several framing nailers, 2 Bostitch stick nailers, 2 Bostitch coil nailers, 1 Bostitch roofing coil nailer and 1 Senco stick nailer. I like the Senco for most applications as it is smaller and easier to get in tight locations. The Bostitch coil nailers are better when doing the sheeting as you don't have to load as often because there are more nails in a coil than what you can load in the stick nailer. The newer Bostitch stick nailers that use plastic colllated nails use a round headed nail. The older Bostitch (N80) that I have use clipped head nails. Both Senco and Bostitch are well made nailers and one of the most used nailers by framing crews in this area.

Thanks, y'all.

Senco seems to get top reviews for all their nailers, and prices accordingly.

I do use CPO, and have saved a bunch using them.
