Well, I do not have any speed squares and so far the only thing I could trade you for would be the multi-use tool or the Mule (Kawasaki). Hopefully I will be the next winner of the Mule and if so, maybe you would be interested in trading the Jacket for the "tool and mule" from handyman!
Have a great day! Fello Texan

Hold on, now - how did you get a leather jacket? I've got several speed squares, a GREAT set of spade bits, another speed square, a drill hole guide, did I mention the speed square?...I got one of them, a multi-use tool, a speed square, a drill hole guide, a 14.4 volt drill and bits that break every time I try to drill through balsa wood.
Did I mention the speed square? I have a few of them.

Ifn yuns want id pay you to take my free gifts! the day i recieved my multi tool i tried to pull a hang nail and the knife blade fell out i tried the flash light to find it and it blew its bulb, i put a new bulb in and the batteries fell out. But, and this is the good news my personalized address labels actualy stick to the envelope and the drill bit thingy with the holes makes a right handy coaster. I've found a few interesting facts in the magazine and in the end makes a nice fire starter. I prefer Mother Earth News.

Teah, I got a speed square too. Whatever they sent me to test was so forgettable that I forget what it was. I ordered two of their books (two different ones) and received two copies of one of them. All was straightened out satisfactorally, but the confusion was not reassuring. I'm not complaining because I think ye gits what ye pays fer.

Sliver, I didn't get no speed square either. They were given as free gifts when members agreed to "test" some of those great tools that the tester has to pay for or send back. Return postage is more than the tools are worth.I am glad you didn't get a speed square, that means you are too smart fot the clubs BS!

Hello Everyone, I don't have anything, haven't received anything... Not even one of those square things! I am pretty new. I do have some Harbor Freight stuff that might be worth trading. =) Love this sight. Can't wait to buy a house and start doing some of these DIY projects. Penny

Hey all. I just joined the "HC of A" from a mailing I was sent. Seems that I should have read these post first! About me: I am a construction superintendent for a national general contractor based here in New York. I am a carpenter by trade and have been building for the last 30 years. I am well versed in both residential and commercial building aspects of construction. My passion is millwork and I have an extensive garage shop at home equiped with every tool ever made. (Or so the wife tells me!) I guess I won't be getting any tools to "test" after this post, but then again it sounds as if the tools they send out don't really amount to much anyway! Tony Portela

Tony, welcome to the group.. Might I suggest you drop down to the "New Members" section and repeat your post.... Many members ignore this section and I wouldn't want them to miss your intro.. again- welcome. Ez ☺ Remember, there is no handyman problem that a judicious application of money can't fix. Daddy always said you get out of something what you are willing to put into it. You can use this club to your advantage, or sit back and let it flow over your head. Some of you sound like you have already drowned.

THANK YOU, Kitty! I've been a lifetime member since '94 and can't count the times their advice has gotten me out of jams! If it's not in the magazine, it's usually here in the forums. I've also gotten "trinkets" from time to time, but I always find a use for them...even the stickers, zipper pullers, and belt buckles! And yes, I have (and am proud to wear) the leather jacket too! Welcome to you new members, and I hope you enjoy being part of this club half as much as I have! By the way, in order to get stuff to test, you have to fill out the form on this site. Sometimes you get sample sizes and they're pretty useless, but I have gotten some fairly nice stuff too. If it's for free, I'm not complaining, I just enjoy the chance to test something! I enjoy my magazines and any help. I once helped an older lady in Johnson City. Her plumber kept charging $200 to clean her bathroom drain. Didn't tell her it ran up hill, not down. I replaced the pipe and she gave me an old sweatshirt that says "4 0ut Of Five Of The Voices In My Head Say, EAT THE CHOCOLATE!" Freebies are often cool. I still have it.

Not NY, Johnson City Tennessee. Pretty place, good fishing, needs lots of Handymen! Locals could not be hired, or bullied into doing backbone jobs. I asked all over town, then did the work myself.

STAN: Give it a little time/ You'll get used to it/takes a little time to figure it out/once you do, the old site will be just a faded memory. Like everything else in the computer world-the old site was just outdated and sometime in the future this one will be too and we'll have to go through the change again. I see this is your 1st post on the new forum, why not take a minute and drop down to new meembers section to reintroduce yourself. lol I just received our first test item. It is the Marathon WeldTec Circular Saw
Blade. It came at a perfect time too! Was ready to buy a new blade and now I don't have to give hubby the money to go get one! lol We got the flashlight, multi tool plyers, a small multi tool plyer with a light on it, and a tape measure with the notepad and pen... I think the items are neat and all are going in my own tool box in my van!

That's great, mpropst, but I would suggest that you start a 'New Topic' titled "WeldTec Circular Saw Blade" in the "Member Tests and Reviews" forum rather than add to an old (a very old - 'internal administrator') thread and forum which has absolutely nothing to do with the product testing.
Let us now, honestly, how it 'tests out' for you (or hubby). HINT: The forums don't get "doctored-up" by an editor. Nor do negatives go unpublished or get deleted, yet, like the mag does. (space/sponsorship, of course.)
TIA

Bikebuilder: Why are YOU responding to an old post made on April 8, '08. I figure that is about 3 months old to the day. Isn't the Pot calling the Kettle Black. LMAO "OLDMAN" aka brye1 "OLDMAN" aka brye1

You caught me, brye1.
-Oops, my bad!-
I just saw the "08 2008" and somehow missed the "April" part. eek!
Although, it still doesn't make any sense for someone to post a test product report or announcement in the "Swaps and Trades" forum, in a thread titled "just to see if i get any takers", which was posted(re-created) by "internal administrator". And, after all, no one previously suggested re-posting/creating a new thread in the more appropriate product test forum. So.....
.....I guess the kettle is more like 'brown' then, eh? He-He
BTW, with all the sideways scrolling I have to do, sometimes I miss those 'little details' when I'm playing catch-up, after not visiting for a few days. A "new since last visit" indicator of some type would have prevented that little boo-boo on my part. I now it has been asked for by a few members, but we still don't have that "standard", and rather useful, forum feature here.

For the price I paid for lifetime membership, I was happy with my router and bits with cases, and chisel set and box, and other little things. Didn't get a jacket tho, but did get a bill cap and patches, and a couple of window decals. Sorry, but I'm not willing to give any of those up! lol... About the rubber ducky... I'll take the air inside... and let it loose eeeeuuuuu! lol Giterdone!
