Good afternoon. My name is Doug and I'm from Ohio!!  The Buckeye State, and home to The Ohio State University. O.K. ! Enough of the advertising. I have been a Life Member since '97 and have enjoyed the Magazine and the info from the entire Handyman Program. I have not been one to do much on-line chatting but I enjoy reading all of your comments and dicussions! I noticed that their had been a survey of the State Membership so I thought I would put in my two cents worth!!  It's amazing how much knowledge there is to be tapped into and I look forward to future excursions into that "Frontier".

Physically my body is in NorthEastern Illinois in the Lakes region, Mentally I live in a State of perpetual confusion and this site seems to be so screwed up that it is like being at home. You can't find anything here no matter how hard you look. I think that the programmers that messed up this site are a bunch of diabolical GEEKS as they keep changing all of the sites and my logins are in a constant state of flux.
I am a LIFE MEMBER or so my belt buckle tells me and my Leather Jacket should only be worn on Sundays as it is becoming holy. I had a hat or cap, set it down somewhere and haven't seen it since.  My Member nuber has been changed by persons unknown but I managed to find out what the new number is and I had to apply for a new plastic card. I think that since the sign up spot for testing is hidden that I will attempt to call them on the phone and re-apply for testing again. I've already learned that e-mails don't work.
I go by the Handle of 1Dustychuck and that is also one of my e-mail addresses, I am also a Life Member of the Cooking Club of America and one of the few guys on that site.

Have a Very Beautiful Day.

Chuck

How about the great state of Alabama. In my life, I have lived in W.Va, NY, Pa, Ga, and Fla. All great places but North Al. has it all. Conservative lifestyle with compassion for others. Space program, hi tech community, above average incomes, cheap energy, easy access to Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham( but who needs them), some of the finest health care in the country, and a growing economy while the rest of the country struggles. Here in the Rocket City (Huntsville), we expect to double our population of 230,000 over the next 4 years. It is a great place for a Hvac Contractor and Artisan like myself.

Come visit, great lakes for fishing, mountain trails, parks and oh ya for you crazy golfers, part of the Robert Trent Golf Trail, 54 holes in Huntsville plus at least 3 more courses on the trail within 2 hours drive. (never did understand golfers, would rather be in my shop or at the lake).

I am a new member from so far north in Wisconsin on a clear evening I can hear Da Yoopers. I have always played around with small wood projects. Last month I read my first Handy and I was hooked. I have a 12 x 20 barn shed that I am turning into a shop lots of trees to kill up here.
